A couple of months ago, I found myself really suffering with bad skin problems. I kept getting viscious under the surface spots, which were so sore and would last for ages. So I did a little bit of research on Youtube to see if anyone else was having the same problems and what they used to try and resolve it.
This lead to the purchase of (in my opinion) quite a pricey product - La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. I had seen this product mentioned before, but had never really paid it a great deal of attention and so knew very little about it. It cost just over £13 to buy, so I really hoped it would live up to its reputation.
Every product will work differently for each individual, and unfortunately, I find most products break me out and make my skin even worse! I have had very sensitive skin ever since I was a baby, and I continue this ongoing battle with most products even today. I am pleased to say however, that the Effaclar Duo has been very good to my skin.
The product is described to be a 'corrective and unclogging anti-imperfection care'. It is a serum consistancy and has a very fresh smell. It is lovely to apply to the face and I find a little of the product will go along way. This means thats although it is over £13 to buy for 40ml, it should last a very long time. I use mine morning and night, and I still have plenty left in the tube.
I have been using the product for about 3 months now and I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin. I use it in place of my moisturiser and apply it all over my face. It has made my skin a lot smoother and appear clearer.It is also quite mattifying, so won't leave your face all greasy feeling, like a lot of moisturisers would. I still occasionally have a nasty break out, but I put this down to my hormones and diet. I eat very healthy, but definitely notice a difference in my skin if I don't get enough sleep, water and if I eat junk food. Overall my skin is 60% better now after using this product and I would 100% re-purchase it! Money well spent. I just need to concentrate on drinking more water now!
